Randles Hotel

Killarney, Ireland

Originally a rectory, built in 1906, the family-owned Randles Hotel has been transformed into an elegant luxury hotel which welcomes guests with convivial charm.

Upon entering the hotel, there is a simultaneous feeling of grandeur and intimacy. In the drawing room, graceful decor is coupled with a warm slate fireplace and comfy blue and yellow chairs. Hallways are lined with tapestries and guest rooms are adorned with antique furnishings yet livened by a palette of reds, blues and purples.

Rooms

Rooms are tastefully and classically decorated with the same combination of antique style and plush comfort as is found in the lobby and drawing room. Each is individually designed, some in a comfy, country house style, while others have slightly more contemporary decor. King rooms offer partial mountain views while junior suites have a separate shower and roll-topped or Jacuzzi baths. Family rooms and inter-connecting rooms are also available. All rooms feature flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi and European and US sockets.

Location

The hotel is situated on Muckross Road, which is the main road leading into Killarney. The heart of the town can be reached within a ten-minute walk. Randles is also very close to the lakes and mountains which surround the town and is only a short drive from Killarney National Park.

Food and drink

Checkers, with its characteristic black and white tiled flooring, and The Court, with its stylish antique decor, both serve a menu of simple yet sophisticated Irish fare. The chef has created a delicious menu selection which features only the freshest local ingredients and focuses particularly on local fish.
