Sails in the Desert

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Australia

Nestled behind sand dunes, Ayers Rock Resort lies hidden from view to those visiting the National Park. The resort has endeavoured to reflect sensitivity toward the environment and respect for the area's traditional Aboriginal owners.

Huge sails provide shade, solar panels generate power and native trees flourish throughout on green lawns alive with a multitude of birds. Sails in the Desert is the resort's premier hotel and is well furnished and designed with the interior décor focussing on Aboriginal heritage and culture.

The rooms are comfortable and the grounds are lovely — perfect for an evening of relaxation.

Friendly staff tend to be young and only working in the Red Centre for up to six months, so service levels may differ from those found in other five-star resorts around Australia.
