Rooms

Crisp whites, pale woods and large windows that bathe the rooms in light give the deceptively simple rooms at COMO The Treasury a very serene character. Due to the historic nature of the building, all the rooms are slightly different but surprisingly spacious. Each has high ceilings and original detailing, woven carpets, and heated, travertine floors in the large bathrooms with their freestanding bathtubs. Wi-Fi is complimentary, as is the minibar which is stocked with local draft beers and soft drinks.

Location

Set in the heart of Perth in the city’s rejuvenated historic quarter, COMO The Treasury offers easy access to the city sights, shopping, restaurants and bars. The hotel is a couple of minutes’ walk from the central train station, five minutes’ walk from Elizabeth Quay, and ten minutes on foot from the Art Gallery of Western Australia. Cottesloe Beach is a 20-minute drive away.

Food and drink

Buffet and à la carte breakfasts are served in the Post restaurant which functions as a casual, osteria later in the day with classic Italian dishes, and a selection of organic, health-conscious choices from the COMO Shambhala Cuisine menu. Wildflower is a more formal, fine-dining option serving a modern Australian menu that revolves around the best Western Australian produce. It’s set on the 4th floor and offers sweeping city views. The intimate Treasury Lounge and Bar serves a classic afternoon tea, while the basement Long Chim Perth is a buzzing Thai restaurant serving classic street food to convivial crowds.

Facilities and activities

The hotel’s Shambhala spa is well known locally for the high quality of its design and treatments. There’s also a well-equipped gym on site and a 20 m (66 ft) indoor pool surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views down over the city below.
