Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • Arrive in Zürich to be met by your driver for a private transfer to your hotel in the old town. Once you've settled into your hotel, why not take the chance to explore the old town before dinner.

  • This morning you will meet your guide for a private walking tour of the city. Highlights may include the tower of Fraumünster and the enormous clock face of Saint Peter's church. Finish up at Lindenhof Hill for views down across the old town. After lunch, you will head to the world of Lindt chocolate. You will journey back to the origins of chocolate and experience how cocoa conquered Europe.

  • Today you will head to Davos Platz by train. Davos Platz is to the south of Davos and, with a mix of modern architecture and snow-covered chocolate box chalets, maintains the Swiss winter village vibe. There is no better way to explore the area than by a horse-drawn sleigh. You will silently glide along the snow-covered streets and countryside overlooked by the Rhaetian Alps. Stop for a hot chocolate or glass of hot spiced wine, before heading on foot to explore the town.

  • This morning, you’ll take a train to Andermatt, nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps and renowned for its popular ski area. This winter wonderland offers a variety of activities, from cross-country skiing, winter hiking, and snowshoeing to ice skating. You can also indulge in the local food and drink, a true passion in this village. You’ll find a mix of dining options, from five-star gourmet restaurants with modern twists on traditional dishes to homely, family-run cafés serving local comfort food. Take your time to explore and enjoy.

  • Board the Glacier Express. The Glacier Express is known as the slowest express train in the world. The bright-red train journeys through snowy mountain passes and Alpine villages. The train's panoramic windows let you take in the landscape at a leisurely pace. Arriving at Brig you will transfer by train to Montreux. This quietly cosmopolitan locale on Lake Geneva’s eastern shore boasts music legends and storied castles.

  • The GoldenPass train will take you from Montreux to Lucerne today. This scenic route starts on the shores of Lake Geneva and travels up through the Bernese Alps to reach Lucerne. There are several sections to the journey, passing Gstaad, through the Alps and then the Simmen Valley toward Spiez on the edge of Lake Thun. The last part of the journey is on board the Lucerne-Interlaken Express, which skirts around Lake Brienz and the Hasli Valley before routing around Mount Pilatus and into Lucerne.

  • Lucerne is one of the best examples of preserved medieval architecture, and is a small town with one of the most scenic settings on Lake Lucerne, surrounded by snow-capped mountains — Mount Pilatus on one side and Mount Rigi on the opposite side of the lake. Today you will take a short boat ride to Weggis from Lucerne and make your way to the top of Mount Rigi by cable car and cogwheel train. Once you get to the top, you will take in the views of several hundred mountain tops and try a traditional Swiss fondue in a mountain-top restaurant.

  • Journey by train to Zürich Airport for your flight home.
