The Santa Margherita Palace is a modern design hotel, well located in the heart of Santa Margherita. The seafront can be accessed on foot in less than five minutes, along with the ferry dock for services to Portofino and the town’s bustling central area, filled with shops and restaurants.

Inside, the attention to detail is clear and the stylish interior offers a charming contrast to the more traditional and historic feel of the surrounding town. All 26 rooms are beautifully furnished, filled with contemporary design features and natural wooden floors. To the front of the hotel there’s a small terraced seating area, ideal for an evening drink in the summer months. There’s also a small spa area with a Turkish bath, sauna and massage area.

There’s a small spa where guests can enjoy a massage and beauty treatments or make use of the relaxing Turkish bath and sauna. The hotel also offers a friendly concierge service and the staff will be more than happy to recommend and book services such as taxis or restaurants for an evening meal.

Rooms

All the rooms at the Santa Margherita Palace are spacious, filled with contemporary design features and stylishly laid out. With wooden floors and elegant modern bathrooms, and some suites boasting their own Jacuzzi tubs, it’s clear that great attention has been paid to every detail. While none of the rooms have sea views, a number feature a small balcony or terrace overlooking the rooftops of the town. The hotel does not have any interconnecting rooms, but extra beds for children can be accommodated in certain rooms.

Location

The seafront and ferry deck are less than five minutes from the hotel. The ferries depart to Portofino regularly throughout the day in the summer months and take around 15 minutes. The bustling central area of Santa Margherita can also be easily reached on foot in around five to ten minutes and offers a great range of options, from traditional market stalls and boutiques to traditional and fine dining cuisine. 

Food and drink

Breakfast is served in a pleasant ground floor breakfast room and is a hearty buffet-style affair with fresh tea and coffee served to your table. In the evenings, you can enjoy drinks in the lounge area or on the outdoor terrace. While there’s no restaurant within the hotel itself, the town has a selection of quality options within easy walking distance.
