Its 262 rooms and suites are spacious and contemporary in decor, with muted tones and modern amenities, and many have bay views. The hotel’s facilities include a swimming pool, fitness center and large spa, along with several dining options. Marina’s Restaurant serves locally caught fish and seafood, Coopers Bar & Lounge offers classic pub dishes and drinks and afternoon tea can be enjoyed on the outdoor terrace.

Rooms

Simple, sleek designed rooms offer comfort and modern features. Large beds with top of the line Egyptian cotton bedding complemented with hypo-allergenic goose down duvets and oversized pillows provide the perfect place to rewind after a busy day exploring. All rooms offer free Wi-Fi, an LCD smart TV, a CD/DVD player, blackout curtains, a steam iron, a hair dryer , a work desk and electronic safe, and complimentary water, tea, and coffee facilities.

Location

Located on Lough Atalia, The Galmont is pleasantly positioned in the heart of Galway city yet is a bit tucked away from the constant hustle and bustle. Views overlooking Galway Bay give the feeling of the Irish countryside, while remaining within walking distance to the heart of the city filled with restaurants, pubs, and shops.

Food and drink

All-day dining is served at Marina’s Restaurant located at the Galmont. A buffet breakfast with hot and cold options begins the day, while the restaurant specializes in locally caught fish and seafood. Coopers Bar & Lounge offers classic pub dishes and drinks in the afternoon to early evening daily. Afternoon tea is served on the outdoor terrace and can be combined with a spa treatment, if you wish.

Families

There are many interconnecting room options at The Galmont Hotel to accommodate families and larger groups. In addition, family rooms can accommodate two adults and two children. Families can enjoy the leisure center and particularly the children’s pool.
