Ten Square Hotel

Belfast, Ireland

Located in the heart of Belfast, the Ten Square Hotel overlooks Belfast City Hall and is perfectly situated for strolls along the shop-lined Donegall Street. The historic nature of this boutique hotel, formerly a linen warehouse, is immediately evident in its elegantly carved stonework and series of reliefs depicting George Washington, Isaac Newton, Michelangelo and William Shakespeare.

Inside, the hotel is sleek, stylish and contemporary with sophisticated designer decor featuring rich fabrics and dark woods. The chic guest rooms are similarly styled in an uncluttered but indulgent fashion with crushed velvets and bold carpets. The hotel’s multiple dining options include Jospers Steakhouse, which offers superb cuisine in an intimate setting, and the Linen Bar which serves casual pub food.

Rooms

Guest rooms in the original Yorkshire House are surprisingly spacious for being located in such a historic building. Decor is bold and modern with monochromatic, polka dot carpeting, plush blue, gray and white bedding and comfortable velvet chairs. The equally inviting, but more subdued rooms in the hotel’s annex are furnished in classic white and gray and have cushioned headboards and luxurious gray blankets.

All rooms have flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and a large workspace while some also offer views of City Hall. Bathrooms have either a shower over the bath, a shower only, or a separate bath and shower.

Location

The original hotel is located in the imposing Yorkshire House which was built in 1862 and pre-dates many of Belfast’s historic landmarks. It is perfectly located in the heart of the city overlooking Donegall Square and historic Belfast City Hall and close to numerous cafés, restaurants and shops.

Food and drink

The atmospheric Jospers Steakhouse offers superb cuisine in an intimate setting where tin ceiling tiles, dark wooden tables and exposed bricks surround a lively open kitchen. The menu features juicy, prime-aged beef from award-winning butchers as well as a variety of fresh fish and seafood.

For a more casual meal, the Linen Bar offers light dishes in a charming environment.
