Hunter's Yard at Mount Juliet

Hunter's Yard at Mount Juliet

Kilkenny, Ireland

Located on the grand Mount Juliet estate, home to one of Ireland’s premier country manor hotels, the elegant Hunter's Yard is just a five-minute walk from the traditional manor house but offers more contemporary rooms at a more affordable price. Rooms at Hunter's Yard surround a courtyard and are set in what were once the estate’s stables. While it’s hard to imagine that this modern space was once used to house horses and hay, there are subtle equestrian accents throughout.

Guests staying in Hunter’s Yard still have full access to all of the amenities available on the Mount Juliet estate and will be spoilt for choice by the wide range of activities available, including falconry, archery lessons and fishing. Mount Juliet is also known for its Jack Nicklaus designed golf course and state-of-the-art equestrian center.

Guests also have full access to the dining choices in both hotels with options ranging from the award-winning, Michelin-starred Lady Helen restaurant to more casual choices at The Hound in Hunter's Yard, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a rustic, informal setting.

OUR OPINION:

Hunter’s Yard is a sophisticated option offering great value on the Mount Juliet estate, great for those wanting full access to the facilities of the estate in a more contemporary, casual setting.
