Anantara Chiang Mai Resort & Spa

Chiang Mai, Thailand

Ideally situated on the banks of the Mae Ping River in central Chiang Mai, the Anantara is designed in contemporary Asian style. It is relatively small compared to its neighbours, but has all the facilities you would expect from a five-star hotel. The resort has a total of 84 rooms across two room categories — Deluxe and Suite. All rooms offer a private balcony, complete with daybed, overlooking the gardens or the river. Some rooms also benefit from having a private courtyard entrance.

The property also has an extensive spa, as well as a state-of-the-art gym, sun deck, large outdoor swimming pool and two restaurants. Their signature restaurant is ‘The Service 1921’ which is housed in a colonial wooden building in the grounds, which was once the home of the British Consulate. 1921 serves a mix of Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese dishes. The second dining option is the 'The Restaurant' located on the riverside and serving a mix of Western and Indian cuisine. The Anantara also has a famous daily afternoon tea which you might like to enjoy during your stay and a daily traditional dance performance on the lawn at 6pm for 15 minutes.
