Table Mountain Tour

Table Mountain, South Africa

Guests are taken to the lower terminal for the cable-car up Table Mountain. The cable-car is a very modern affair, and completes a 360º rotation during the ascent, affording you fantastic views over the city. Once at the top, you can explore the various pathways and viewpoints: these do not just look over the city, but also down the peninsula toward Cape Point, and, if you walk far enough, north toward the Winelands.

Whilst on the mountain top, you may catch a glimpse of the resident dassies. This is the South African name for the rock hyrax, an animal that resembles a large and fluffy hamster, although it is in fact related to the elephant! The operation of the cable-car is dependent on the weather, as high winds make it unsafe.
