Lion Sands Private Game Reserve

Lion Sands has been family owned since 1933 and Ivory Lodge is a fabulous and exclusive safari lodge. It combines elegant, modern light furnishings with African dark woods and artwork creating a luxurious yet simple and uncluttered style.

Your own secluded and air-conditioned 'lodge within a lodge' is a vast glass-fronted, thatched villa with breathtaking views of the river where you may see elephant and other wildlife between game drives. The villa consists of two rooms, separated by a private game-viewing deck with plunge pool. The bedroom steps up to the open-plan bathroom with huge stone bath, twin sinks and separate double shower and toilet, as well as an outdoor shower. The second room is your lounge with maxi-bar and luxurious sofas and chairs. There are just six villas, each secluded from its neighbours, so Ivory Lodge offers a private and sumptuous stay.

In the main lodge is a lounge, indoor and outdoor dining areas, the latter overlooking the river, bar, wine cellar, gym and spa.
